Hello there! As an author, I aim to weave enchanting tales of love and romance set in the early 19th Century. My characters, though often aristocratic, are real people with virtues, vices, and fascinating quirks of character. They experience real feelings, romances and heartbreaks, intrigues and real dangers of living during such an exciting period of English history. The stories are mainly set in the glamour of High Society in London, or in the beautiful rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Later novels in the series trace the lives and loves of other members of the Brockworth family, and explore other parts of this historically fascinating country.

My stories celebrate romance, humour and history.

I live and work on the doorstep of the beautiful area of The Lake District in England. Though she trained as an Optometrist, she has had a lifelong interest in British History, and was enchanted by the novels of Georgette Heyer as a teenager.

Widely travelled, she now devotes a considerable amount of her time visiting the Stately Homes of England and the historic towns and villages that inspire her writing.

My other interests are growing beautiful Iris ensata, opera, the music of the 19th Century and embroidery. I have a keen interest in the preservation of what remains of the English countryside.
